The MJ-2 Select shoe from Lakai is designed and tested by Marc Johnson. It features a flexible Vulcanized construction with a tacky gum rubber outsole, full length shock absorbing insole, form fitting upper for increased board feel and a soft leather upper. All lakai's come with a spare set of laces.
Lakai Limited Footwear
Basted out of Torrance, California, Lakai started life back in 1999 when fellow Girl team skaters and co-owners Mike Carroll and Rick Howard felt that the could make a contribution to the skate shoe world. Lakai released its first video in 2002 called "Beware of the Flare" which was mainly made up for footage from the Lakai tours and their first full length feature film "Fully Flared" was put out in 2007. Lakai's Fully Flared went on to win the Best Video Award from The Skateboard Mag and Transworlds Best Video Award.
