Founded in New York around 2015-2016 by Chris Milic and Jesse Alba, Frog Skateboards is an unconventional, fun-loving brand known for its quirky MS Paint-style graphics, and a focus on joy over competition. Originally a "joke," it gained popularity for its childish, whimsical aesthetic, offering a refreshing, artistic, and inclusive, alternative to traditional, stoic skateboarding brands.
Frog Skateboards boasts a stacked roster of creative powerhouses, the team includes founders Chris Milic (Mango) and Jesse Alba, along with Marky “Numbers” McCoy, Nick Michel, Evan Wasser, Gabe Thompson, Frankie Decker, Pat Gallaher, and Brighton Zeuner. With such a diverse and imaginative lineup, Frog emphasizes creativity, individuality, and a love for skateboarding that mirrors the brand’s playful, whimsical ethos.
Through team rider Nick Michel’s connection to Vans, Frog Skateboards recently collaborated on a custom Vans colourway designed specifically for him. The project reflects their playful and creative aesthetic, with a stylish plain outer and Frog inspired graphics adorning the insoles.
