DGK Skateboards | Dirty Ghetto Kids
Started by Stevie Williams back in 2002 DGK (Dirty Ghetto Kids) is a skateboard company that takes its name from one of the OG crew’s that came out of Philadelphia’s Love Park that were named the Dirty Ghetto Kids because they came from the wrong side of the tracks. As a brand they stick to their guns, their original skate look and haven’t jumped of trends that have been and gone. This has lead to DGK creating a following both in and outside of skateboarding as well as on both the wrong and right side of the tracks.
Born from Stevie Williams’ experiences growing up skating in Philadelphia during the Love Park era, DGK emerged as a platform for skaters from overlooked communities. By reclaiming the phrase “Dirty Ghetto Kids,” the brand transformed a stereotype into a symbol of pride, ambition, and authenticity. Over the years, DGK has evolved from an underground crew into a globally recognised skate brand while maintaining its core street mentality.
DGK’s identity has been shaped by its video output, which captured the energy and progression of the time. Key releases include 20 Days in Spain (2006), Da Playground (2011), Blood Money (2014), and Saved(2017). These projects helped define the brand’s style and cement its place in modern skateboarding media.
DGK has built one of skateboarding’s most influential and diverse teams, featuring riders such as Stevie Williams, Josh Kalis, Marcus McBride, Boo Johnson, Wade Desarmo, Dane Vaughn, and Marquise Henry.
