Originally founded in the UK as Deathbox, Flip Skateboards made the move to California in 1994 under the direction of Jeremy Fox, joined by core riders Tom Penny, Rune Glifberg, Geoff Rowley, and Andy Scott. With early backing from Ed Templeton, Flip quickly established itself in the US and went on to become one of the most important and recognisable skateboard brands worldwide, cementing its place in skate history.

Flip’s legacy is heavily defined by its video output, which helped shape modern street skating. Releases like Sorry, Really Sorry and Extremely Sorry showcased a raw, progressive style and introduced generations of skaters to some of the most influential parts ever filmed, setting a benchmark for skate videos that still resonates today.
