Baker Skateboards are headed up by 'The Boss' Andrew Reynolds and artist Jay Strickland. They started Baker back in the year 2000 producing skateboard decks, wheels , accessories, clothing and complete set up's. In 2007 along with fellow skaters Jim Greco and Erik Ellington Baker Skateboards formed Bakerboys Distribution to help distribute other brands that are owned by their Baker team mates. Baker Skateboards a highly respected skateboard team that is Baker for life! Are you down?
After many successful years under the Birdman’s wing at Birdhouse, Andrew Reynolds spread his own wings and flew the nest at the end of the ’90s to start Baker Skateboards in 2000, alongside artist Jay Strickland.
In its early days, Baker had a distinctly punk-rock aesthetic, reflecting the style of its stacked roster. Today, the brand has grown and matured alongside its members, yet it still keeps its edge by bringing in raw, fresh talent. Baker quickly cemented its place in skateboarding history with a series of legendary videos, including Baker 2G, Baker 3, and Baker Bootleg. These films captured the energy, creativity, and raw attitude of the team, influencing a generation of skaters and cementing Baker’s reputation for authenticity and edge. whilst bringing to light the talent of now iconic skaters such as Bryan Herman, Spanky, Duston Dollin, Erik Ellington, Elissa Steamer, TK and of course Reynolds.
Over the past two and half decades Baker have pumped out some iconic graphics that have stood the test of time, specifically their 'Brand Logo' drawn by Jay Strickland. Other notebale contributors are Fos, Mike Gigliotti and current art director Spanky.
