Skateboard Truck Sizes & Widths

First thing we think you should know is the difference in truck widths. We've simplified things down for you here and by selecting the width filter on the left hand side you can select the correct size truck to fit your skateboard deck. Each Truck should have the Axle width in the title too so bear this in mins also when thinking about your truck/deck size.

Second thing you might like to consider when selecting your trucks is the height. Truck height is a combination of personal preference and wheel size. If you're riding a small wheel under 52mm then low trucks could be for you, anything bigger than 52mm will most likely lead to wheel bite (when your wheel bites your deck and sends you flying) so if you're riding a bigger wheel it's perhaps going to be better if you select a mid or a high truck. You can also adjust your truck height by placing a riser pad under your truck, check out our great selection of riser pads.

Skateboard Truck Construction

In recent years truck technology has advanced and there are now various different trucks that are lighter and stronger. These feature different materials such as titanium and magnesium or forged steel baseplates. Strengthened hollow point kingpins and hollow axles allow these trucks to be lighter, making your setup overall lighter. Some say this will make your ollie higher?
