Many Thanks Skateboard Video Premiere – 25th January 2025

Saturday 25th January 2025. Save the date. Krishna ‘Bish’ Muthurangu’s last full length Newcastle Skateboard Scene video installment premiere’s, and it’s sure to be an epic occasion. Bish has been releasing full length scene vids since 2006, and with this one being his last, it’s going to be a last hurrah to be remembered.

Bish has been working on this project, ‘The Many Thanks Video’ for over 3 years, so has really been out there putting in the work. ‘Many Thanks’ will feature full sections from some of the North East’s most notable names, including Native team riders, Matty Smith, Jamie C, Alethea and Michael Kelly, as well as Native shop worker Jackie Young, and shop homies such as Will Cre, Jamie Allen, Ian Ashley, Matt Burns and Benny Smith. We can’t also forgot, the endless list of shredders with clips in the friend section, this video is not one to miss. We’ve heard whispers that Team Rider Matty Smiths section is next level, so we’re extra extra stoked for that.

In addition to the Many Thanks Video, Jackie Young and Native Team Rider Jacky Vietch also have a short shared street section playing before hand, after a successful mini premiere in Native before Jacky V jetted across the globe on his travels, this will be a chance for anyone who missed the Native showing to see that video too before it goes online at the end of the month.

Hosting the event is the Grove in Byker. We’ve heard they’ve been super down for the whole thing and have some exciting additions to the evening up their sleeve, including, whispers of skateable objects inside the venue, and THPS available to play on the big screen outside, so it definitely sounds like this will be a North East event for the books. The whole event is pay as you feel, so no set price for entry, just whatever each person is comfortable with on the night (We’d recommend a Fiver, but only if you’re comfortable with that). The Grove will also be providing all of your scran needs, and of course, the most pressing issue, is they’ll have all of your drinking needs sorted too.

Inside the Grove, there will also be a photo gallery showcasing photos from all the way back to Bishcam (2006) all the way to now 2025, which will be a very interesting look into Bish’s nearly 20 year journey to making 4 full length videos.

There’ll also be photos up from some of the North East’s finest lensmen, including Richie Palmer, Jeffro, Blind Johnny, Adam Thirtle, Craig Crouchman and Bish himself.

Address: 1 St Michael’s Rd, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE6 1QU (The Grove)

With Bish’s video expected to start at 8pm, we’d recommend arriving at the above address (The Grove) early in order to secure the most ideal spot, meaning you’ll also not miss the double Jackie section playing around 7:30pm.

To finish the night, an afterparty at Zerox has been organised. Zerox is a known favourite to many shredders in the Newcastle scene, and the party will be sure to very much continue when it heads there. Zerox will likely be 10–11 ish onwards till late.

Address 48-52 Sandhill, Newcastle upon Tyne Newcastle NE1 3JF (Zerox)

As already mentioned earlier in this blog, The Many Thanks Video is Bish’s last full length video ever, and will quite likely be the last Newcastle scene full length that we see for some time, so this event is absolutely not one to miss. We’re expecting an evening for the history books, and you should make sure you’re part of it on the 25th Jan.
