Brand Profile: Adidas Skateboarding
Adidas Skateboarding is a new brand to us here at Native Skate Store and we are stoked to add the iconic trainer brand to our list of skate shoes.
Adidas started out back in 1947 after shoe making brothers Adolf “Adi” Dassler split their shoe company that started in their mothers wash room and decided to go their separate ways (Adi’s brother Rudi went on to start Puma). Over the years Adidas grew until it became the super brand it is today and you can’t really walk down a high street anywhere in the world without spotting a pair of Adidas trainers.
Skating in Adidas trainers is by no means a new thing. For years skateboarders have used Adidas trainers to skate in, one of the most popular shoes to skate in back in the 90’s has to be the Adidas Superstar, with it’s durable rubber shell (hence the nickname “Shell-Toes”).
Now skaters don’t have to go looking for that hardwearing and durable pair of Adidas shoes to skate in. Adidas now have a specific range of Adidas skate shoes know as Adidas Skateboarding and the also have the skate team that shows that they are not pulling any punches.
The Adidas Skateboarding team consists of Mark Gonzales, Dennis Busenitz, Lucas Puig, Silas Baxter-Neal, Nestor Judkins, Pete Eldridge, Benny Fairfax, Jake Donnelly, Lem Villemin, Vince Del Valle, Petr Horvat, Raul Navarro, Gunes Ozdogan, Klaus Bohms, Vince Del Valle and Chewy Cannon.
