Elsewhere – The Story Of UK Skateboarding North East Launch Party, Pilgrim Newcastle 2nd July!
Elsewhere is the incredible skateboard history book released by Neil Macdonald, documenting the UK skateboarding scene between 1987-2002. The book successfully launched last month, and to celebrate, there’s a North East Elsewhere launch party hosted by friend of the shop Mike O’Brien at his Newcastle city centre based bar Pilgrim.
To read more about the contents of the book itself, check out the blog post we’ve already released here;

The launch party on July 2nd will be kicking off around 7pm, and will have a lot going on during the night, including photography displayed, DJ’s playing and a Q & A featuring the books creator Neil Macdonald, and another Neil, legendary North East skateboarder Neil Urwin. Urwin needs no introduction, but if you’ve any questions about his career in skateboarding, or any questions for the books creator Neil Macdonald, you don’t want to miss this.
Two DJ’s, DJ Ken Masters and DJ Vantoosh will be holding down the music and being sure to keep the place lively, and we’ve also heard a rumour of a free drink or two, which is sure to entice some in.
Pilgrim is located at 54 Pilgrim street, Newcastle City Centre, so is very accessible, and a perfect location to host the party. With the music and the Q&A on offer, as well as the very enticing free drink? We’re sure the night is going to pop off. So if you’re hyped on the book, hyped on UK skate history, or just want to get amongst some legendary North East heads, be sure not to miss it on Thursday 2nd July.
