Product Roundup – 10/06/2016

This week’s weekly roundup is all about the wood! First of all we have a small offering from Pontus and the guys over at Polar Skateboards (small because we’ve already sold out of a few graphics) they feature the usual simplistic clean cut graphics with a few eclectic ones thrown in there for good measure and of course some Polar custom pool shapes have been included as well. Next we have a heavy helping from Krooked; there’s everything from an Omar Salazar Guest Pro deck to a graphic series designed by Lance Mountain Jr. mixed in with the usual goodness from the Gonz.  Creature bring the gnarl this week as always with the popular Juggs DD & DDD graphics making a return on some sick shaped decks alongside an Al Partanen series called Shakra; some nice trippy graphics on a variety of sizes. Mike V is back this week with some new Streetplant decks featuring his classic barnyard graphic on multiple stained ply and another signed re-issue of his Snake graphic.

If it’s something big and shaped you’re after and the gnarly side of things like creature isn’t for you then we suggest checking out the two new Tired decks we have in, they measure in at 8.5’’ and 9.0’’ wide and feature the artwork of Parra so they’ll look just as good hung on the wall as they would under foot. Next we have a whole heap of decks in from Dwindle, amongst it we have a few different series from Cliché and a little something special by the name of ‘Skaters Progress’ which measures in at 9.0’’ wide, is beautifully shaped and features the artwork of UK based artist Jon Horner. To finish of this week’s wood we have Girl & Chocolate coming in with a series each, Chocolate’s Tradiciones boards being the standout of the two.

Footwear this week comes in the form of 3 new items from Lakai. First off we have the Riley Hawk and the Griffin XLK both sporting a suede upper and a low cut profile with the Hawk on a super flexible vulc sole and the Griffin on Lakai’s tech XLK sole & Equa-foam midsole combination offering you that little bit more impact protection. Secondly we have the Madison, a full canvas low cut upper on the traditional vulc sole giving you a lightweight shoe with plenty of board feel and flexibility. Also in the week footwear wise we have 3 new colourways of Converse, the One Star Pro in an all-black, the Ctas Pro OX in Mouse and another in a very in your face Orange (‘My Van is on Fire’ being the official colour).

Supertoxic dropped a wheel hammer this week teaming up with long time in the game British Skateboarder Ben Grove to bring out a guest Pro wheel, they’ve kept it simple in design making sure to get the Manchester/Note vibes in there with the Bee and they’ve even gone and done it in varying sizes to keep everyone happy. Also in the undercarriage department this week we have two new trucks in from Thunder, a Marc Johnson and a Mark Suciu Hollow Light both featuring a hollow kingpin and hollow axle fitted to a forged steel baseplate. These are some of the best trucks in the market at the moment and show why Thunder are up there as one of the best.
