Product Roundup! – 26/08/2016

The Deluxe summer drop is here and it’s huge, we have full lines from Antihero, Krooked and of course Spitfire consisting of everything from raglans to pullover hooded tops. On top of this we also have hardgoods from all of the above as well as some killer decks from Real Skateboards. The Real decks build on the popularity of their recent Spectrum series by injecting it with some fresh new wood stains and of course there’s also some one off graphics for Busenitz, Torgerson and Wair thrown in for good measure. Krooked keep it simple this time round with some very minimalistic logo graphics on varying stains and a variety of sizes so there’s something for everyone. Antihero are the standout from the Deluxe drop this time with a super sick series of graphics called Gnararchaeology and they’ve also dropped the very well deserved and much anticipated Daan Van Der Linden debut Pro model decks.  The decks aptly named ‘First’ come in two different sizes (8.25 & 8.06) and feature one of my favourite Antihero graphics I’ve seen in a long while.

Santa Cruz have gone and teamed up with a number of guest artists to bring you another series of Screaming Hand graphics; we have the likes of Ken Taylor and Michael Sieben in there so you know they’re going to be good, particularly Sieben’s with it offering you a refreshing take on such an iconic graphic. Also from NHS distro we have the guys at Creature coming in with their usual gnarliness offering you a plethora of sizes and custom shapes and not to forget a full photo print graphic of Gravette’s dirty little moustache. Lastly from those guys we have Flip Skateboards, their new board drop consists of their ‘Vintage’ series of graphics and Arto still getting those pay checks via one off board graphics.

To wrap up this week’s wood we have Quasi Skateboards (formerly known as Mother Collective) weighing in with their super trendy art style graphics and arguably some of the best shaped boards I’ve ever skated. They keep to their usual art direction and bring us only a handful of new Pro model graphics but make up for it on the wide selection of sizes.

Only two new pieces of footwear in this week…. The first being the Salford from Lakai; Danny Brady’s Pro shoe. The shoe itself is said to be based on the classic Lakai Manchester silhouette with a longer squarer toe and the top detailing is reminiscent of the Busenitz from Adidas which intern took inspiration from the Copa Mundial Football shoe. The Nike shoe on the other hand is taken from a new summer collection of clothing that takes inspiration from road tripping and in particular the seat covering of vintage automobiles.  The Shoe is the Dunk High; it features a suede and canvas upper with Aztec patterned sides.

This week’s rip clip comes from Antihero’s newest Pro Daan Van Der Linden, feast your eyes on his leftover footage from His Holy Stokes Part
