Product Roundup! – 23/09/2016

The shoe deliveries have been fairly sparse over the past few weeks as we hit the empty void between summer and fall but footwear giants Nike have come through and drowned out the draught with 6 fresh new shoes. First off we have the Bruin Premium SE; a reworking of the classic Bruin replacing that small canvas piece at the side with a more durable rubber to greatly improve the shoe’s longevity (available in two different colour-ways). Next we have Stefan Janoski’s latest upgraded signature shoe the Janoski Hyperfeel XT in a cool looking anthracite/orange colourway and if that’s not your kind of thing we have the Janoski HT. The HT makes his signature shoe look cleaner, sharper and fresher than ever. The foxing stripe has been removed, the full suede upper has been given a premium facelift and all this combined with an embroidered swoosh and embossed tongue detail give the shoe an altogether richer more luxe style. Lastly we have the Hyperfeel Koston 3 XT, this new Eric Koston signature shoe is probably not to everyone’s personal taste but if the wear test reviews are anything to go by then this is a seriously good shoe for skateboarding in. This model fuses all of Nikes current shoe technologies into a sleek and slender silhouette without sacrificing on the essentials such as protection and board feel.

Our clothing this week comes from every corner of the Skateboard spectrum with everything from Plan B to Creature stopping off for some Pizza, Welcome and magenta on the way. Plan B play it safe with nothing too outlandish and stick to what sells with their classic logo on short and long sleeve pieces as well as a standard pullover hooded top. Magenta stick to their guns with simple, clean graphics on a variation of garments including beanies and wool 6 panels whilst Creature go full blown gnarly as always with wizards, skulls and tie dye-esque hooded tops.  Pizza goes all in with dad caps clad in emoticons and their tongue in cheek rip off logos tees as well as re-ups on the pizza emoji long sleeves. The standout in the clothing department this week has to go to the guys from Welcome; they’ve got graphic tee & hoods, beanies, caps and a rather rad new shower proof hooded coach jacket called the Tracking. The jacket features a drawstring hood & waist, button up front along with a left chest and back print.

This week’s wood is dominated by Deathwish with over 24 new graphics including their VHS and creepers series as well as plenty of one offs and multiple variations on the OG Gang logo. Following closely behind them is Plan B with their Savages series, Team Overlap series and another batch of their BLK ICE construction decks. BLK ICE decks are constructed from 7-Ply Canadian Maple like every other standard skateboard but included a super slippy top coating to make sure your slides go that extra length. Next we have London/South African company Familia resurfacing with their usual art driven graphics an on the other hand we have Pizza following the same route as their clothing and making a mockery  of highly recognizable logos. Finally we have Death who have stepped their game up and finally brought their much beloved Skull graphic to the bigger size variations of 8.75’’ and 9.0”.

Lastly we round of the week’s products with all new accessories such a plethora of Element Wallets, backpacks and more gnarly goodness from Creature in the form of sunglasses, stickers and a duffle bag. The Platoon bag comes with a spacious main compartment, shoulder strap and bottom mounted board carry straps.
