Skate Shop Day 2025
February 15th; Skate Shop Day 2025!!
It’s that time of year again, February 15th 2025 is World Skate Shop Day. A day to celebrate in all corners of the globe, a day highlighting what shops around the world do for the skateboard scene in their retrospective areas, and a day for customers to get their hands on some one off limited and exclusive products from some of the biggest brands in the industry.
Skateboard shops are absolutely vital to the skateboarding eco system, providing safe spaces worldwide for skaters to hang out, talk skateboarding, try and buy the latest products from all the biggest skate companies, and just generally feel involved with not only their local scene, but the happenings of skateboarding worldwide. So whether you’re just a shop lurker, in every week browsing the newest gear, or just need to borrow a skate tool, your local shop has you covered, and skateshop day is a day to celebrate that.
In today’s skate industry climate, supporting your local skateshop has never been more important, especially if it’s an independent skater owned shop. Supporting skater owned skateshops is absolutely vital, especially in 2025 when the littler independent shops have to compete against massive corporation backed shops trying to get the biggest slice of the pie they can. Skater owned shops do so much for their communities, as already mentioned, and the 15th Feb 2025 is your day to celebrate them, maybe give back, and end up leaving with an epic and exclusive product.
Deluxe distribution have always been heavily involved with skateshop day, releasing rare and exclusive items to boost the hype of the day, and give customers the chance of buying a truly special piece, which in some cases is only ever released the one time.
This year is no different, and it’s time to get excited for some fine skateshop day products, from brands such as Real Skateboards, Antihero Skateboards and Krooked Skateboards. As the photo above shows, we’re expecting an amazing Natas x Todd Francis special edition guest deck from Real, limited to less than 5 per shop. There’ll also be a sick collectible Ishod deck from the heads at Real, with an extra rare silver foil edition also available, but being limited to one deck per shop, so be extra extra fast for that one.
From Antihero there’ll be limited edition Grosso pro shape decks releasing, with artwork done by the legendary Lance Mountain. (RIP Grosso, remembered forever)
Finally, there’ll be the usual Beamer offering from Krooked, this time the 2025 series, this time sold as a two board set, and limited to two sets per shop, these will be very exclusive and sort after, boasting artwork designed by one of skateboarding’s most well known and loved figures, the Gonz. The Beamers pop off every year, and we’re expecting this year to be no different, so act fast if you think you want to add a Beamer set to your collection.
As already mentioned in this blog, it’s more important than ever to be supporting your local, skater owned skateshops, even if it’s just telling a mate who maybe doesn’t know it’s there, or going to spend a few quid on stickers, every little bit makes a difference to the survival of shops that do so much for their communities and the skaters within them.
There’ll be an excellent array of exclusive skateshopday products available, available only at brick and mortar stores, so this year, get yourself out there and support. Your local shop will probably appreciate it more than you could ever know.
